Aloha!
We just got back from a week of holiday. Shelly and I were lucky enough to be able to go to Hawaii for the first time in our lives thanks to a good deal from Jetstar!
We flew for 9.5 hours from Sydney to O’ahu, where we spent 5 days followed by another 2 days in Maui.
Being born in tropical country such as Indonesia, we really liked the weather in Hawaii. It felt like home!
Personally I liked the island of O’ahu, as did Shelly, because there is a good balance of the beauty of Hawaii and also city life. We were able to experience almost everything Hawaii had to offer on one island! O’ahu is the most developed and populated island in Hawaii and yet it still manages to keep the Aloha spirit.
Maui, another great island which we visited, is known as the “Valley Island”. It is the second largest of the populated islands. It only took us half an hour to fly from O’ahu to Maui. We did the “Road to Hana” tour which has 56 bridges and 600 turns along the way! The views were so amazing - we spotted many waterfalls and exotic flowers during the tour and had a delicious Hawaiian lunch in Hana called lau lau.
Overall the trip was superb and I would highly recommend Hawaii to anyone who is planning a honeymoon or who has never been there before!
